A sojourner: Blending with the saints (Part I)

The 3 local churches in north India are relatively new. Among the places/districts we went and got to blend with the saints there: Gurugaon (an extension of New Delhi), northern part, center part (Dwarka), and southern part of Delhi.We had the opportunity to have 2 prayer meetings at 2 different districts, one in Gurugaon and the next week in southern Delhi; while the Lord's Table meeting, gospel meeting, campus meeting and pursuing meetings in the northern part. In addition, had wonderful fellowship with the saints in all the places.

Gurugaon- the training centre.

FTTND has started for 1-2 years. Praise the Lord! We had like 45 mins of hymn singing and sharing with the trainees in the training centre. Some trainees gave the testimony of how they got saved and was brought into the recovery. Most of them were from christianity background (coz they're from south India) and were touched by the Lord concerning the truth of the church by reading spiritual publication. I was enlightened to see how much I need a FRESH vision of the Lord's recovery. As a church kid, what is the Lord's recovery? Even if the 3 points memorized , how much reality?

We also visited the site where the new training centre is under construction, supposedly done in this Feb-March. Amen.

At night, we're divided into 2 groups to go for prayer meeting, one in the saint's house and another in the training centre. That's when u hear so many propagations are on-going and have the burden to pray for His move in India.

Unfortunately, not many pics were taken in the training centre and no pics of the new one which was under construction coz it's too dark. (and tired I guess)

*Side note (lol) - We had our dinner in the training centre and guess what....that's the first Indian meal we had in India, cooked by the trainees themselves.

Center part - Dwarka.

On the 19th Dec, we took almost 2 hours metro to the center part of Delhi, accompanied by 4 local sisters. Dwarka is said to be the largest residential area in Asia, 50 km square purely of condominiums and houses. There were 2 families and 1-2 saints living nearby. We had a wonderful fellowship. A sister's father was the first to bring the Lord's recovery to south India back in 1980+. A brother was gained by the Lord in PJ while he was working here 13 years ago. He could remember clearly the meeting hall opposite UH and the first brother he met in the recovery - bro. JL, haha. And now he and his family migrated to Dwarka for the Lord's kingdom in North India. Another newly baptized sister who has been saved just for 3 years shared that she hopes her son (only secondary school) will go for FTTND! Also we heard from the full-time sister who accompanied us throughout the whole trip, shared how she was turned by the Lord from christianity to see the church that is of God's heart. The saints from M'sia also shared what we gained after 6 days of churching and propagating in Delhi.

Southern part- near JNU

21st of Dec -we went to visit the saints in southern part of Delhi, and had prayer meeting there together with the saints from the center and southern part. JNU is a prestigious university situated at south Delhi. The testimonies of the saints there were encouraging too. There's this newly baptized 14-y.o young brother who never misses prayer meeting. He was the 1st to be saved in his family and later brought his dad to know the Lord too. Every tuesday after school, he takes 1 hour of bus to come to the saint's house to have fellowship and join the prayer meeting, and after that another 1 hour to go back home - he just loves to be with the saints. The sister who is studying in JNU shared the burden for gospel in the campus.

During the prayer meeting, it's sheer joy to be able to participate in the Lord's move in India by praying for the propagation work. =D (Though don't really know the exact pronunciation and spelling of the cities mentioned)
